Regulations moving the register of shareholders to a single digital identity record, in force from 1 January 2027.
1. Citation and commencement
These Regulations may be cited as the Shareholder Registration (Digital Identity) Regulations 2026 and come into force on 1 January 2027.
2. The digital shareholder record
The Directorate of Citizen Equity shall hold the registration of every shareholder of the Federation as a single digital identity record, maintained on federal infrastructure operated by the Directorate of Digital Services.
3. Transfer of existing registrations
Every registration held on the register on 31 December 2026 transfers to the digital record without application. A shareholder is not required to take any action.
4. Access by the shareholder
A shareholder may inspect their own record and request the correction of an inaccuracy through the Directorate of Shareholder Relations.
